For maintained schools, we can help you understand academy status to make an informed decision about whether to convert and, if so, whether into a new academy trust or to join an existing one. 

We've helped 60 mainstream, special schools, and alternative provisions convert or to evolve their academy trust, and many more to investigate. We work with Headteachers and Governors / Trustees to evaluate and manage the technical aspects, leaving you to lead your school. 

For academy trusts, we can support your strategic development, including potential growth through admission of or creation of new schools. We help develop your vision and strategy, ensure that governance structures and schemes of delegation support that vision, manage due diligence of potential new schools, and manage conversion of joining schools.  


We understand the uncertainties and constaints of pupil projections, and work with Councils to review or produce mainstream and SEN projections, and interogate data to investigate locality or council-wide issues. 

If reviews of provision are required to reflect changing demand or provision, we can help in all aspects of school organisation, including data analysis (place planning, educdational, financial, admissions etc), reviewing provision, developing future options, engaging with schools and partners, and managing consultations. 

We have supported changes to primary, secondary, special, and alternative provision schools, including through the statutory process for maintained schools and the 'significant change' process for academies. 

We have worked for schools, academies, councils and diocese on school organisation issues.
